Prior to ARE, Chris was a Director at Carlyle as a key member of the Carlyle China real estate team. He joined Carlyle in 2010 and has been responsible for sourcing, acquisition, asset management and disposition of real estate investments under various strategies across multiple sectors, including office, retail, residential, senior housing and datacenters.

Prior to joining Carlyle, Chris was an Associate at Prax Capital in Shanghai focused on residential investment opportunities in China. Prior to that, he worked as an Analyst in the Asia Principal Investment Division of Merrill Lynch in Beijing, and participated in a number of real estate transactions in China with total capitalization exceeding $1.0 billion. Chris received a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
